Reports made on FixMyStreet in the last month within each area’s circle. “Already fixed” is the share of those reports now marked fixed; “Fixes marked” counts every report marked fixed in that time, whenever it was made. Bigger and busier areas get more reports, and areas overlap, so one report can count in more than one area. Tap a column to sort.
Every kind of problem reported in the last month, in the councils’ own words. Councils name some problems differently, so a few appear more than once.
Spotted a problem? Report it
Fly-tipping, a pothole, a broken street light or an overflowing bin: the quickest way to get it sorted is to report it on FixMyStreet. It’s free, you don’t need to know which council looks after the street, and you can see what your neighbours have already reported so you don’t report it twice. More reports in an area often means people there are good at speaking up, not that it is worse kept.
Where the figures come from
Street reports and fixes come from FixMyStreet, run by the charity mySociety, through its public Open311 feed. We keep only the kind of problem, where and when it was reported, and whether it has been fixed, and link to the report itself. We never store the name of the person who reported it, their words or their photos. Street names come from OpenStreetMap. Our figures start on 17 Sept, so “the last month” may be a little shorter for now.
Each area is a circle round its middle, the same as on its MeBabber page. See our sources and their licences.
