mebabber what’s changing on your streets

Alright, me babber

Me Babber tells you what’s changing on your streets: new food places, hygiene scores, planning, roadworks, licences, street reports, house prices and crime.

How it works

Type a BS postcode and pick a distance, from a quarter of a mile to two miles. We show everything nearby from public records, newest first, on a map. Nothing from the other side of the city.

Every night we check the records again: the Food Standards Agency, the councils’ planning and licensing registers, the Department for Transport’s roadworks service, FixMyStreet, the police and HM Land Registry. See every source.

The Sunday email

Sign up on any postcode page and every Sunday evening we’ll send you the week just gone and the week ahead for your streets. It’s free, and every email has a one-tap unsubscribe.

Where we cover

Every BS postcode: Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and the Keynsham side of Bath and North East Somerset. Some sources cover some councils better than others. Bristol has the most.

Why “me babber”?

It’s how Bristolians say “my friend” or “my love”. We wanted the site to feel like a neighbour who always knows what’s going on, not a council form.
