Everything on Me Babber comes from public records. We check them every night and link every item back to its source.

Food hygiene ratings
Food Standards Agency, for all four councils. Open Government Licence.
Planning applications and decisions
Bristol City Council’s public planning map. We link to the council’s planning website for each application. Other councils are coming.
Licences and pop-up events
Bristol City Council’s licensing registers: event notices, premises licence applications and pavement licences.
Roadworks and closures
Department for Transport, Street Manager open data, for all four councils. Open Government Licence.
Street reports
FixMyStreet by mySociety, with Bristol City Council’s street improvement requests. We never show the name of the person who reported something.
House sales
HM Land Registry Price Paid Data. Contains HM Land Registry data © Crown copyright and database right 2026, licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Sales appear a month or two after they complete.
Crime
data.police.uk. Locations are moved slightly by the police on purpose. Open Government Licence.
Postcodes
postcodes.io, using Office for National Statistics data. Open Government Licence.
